Catholic Women's League

Monday, 21st October 2019

Catholic Women's League - CWL Annual Mass, 7.00 p.m., Monday, 21st October at St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by Father Raymond, a priest from the Schoenstatt Group who will talk to us later in the Parish Centre about the Group. We will also have a cup of tea, a last chance on the Macmillan Tombola and shop, plus make a booking and payment for the Hot Pot Supper in November - price £9.95.

 

Theatre Club

Ailsa McNabb, our Theatre Club Co-Ordinator, is planning shows for the next six months. If we buy a minimum of ten seats we get a reduction in price. Because of lack of leg room in the circle, seats at the Palace Theatre will be in the stalls, unless the circle is specifically requested. Please could you indicate on the form in the sacristy before 15th September which (if any) of the following shows you would be interested in. Further details will be given nearer the time.

Parish Pilgrimages

Pilgrimage to Holy Island

Father Woolley and Father Peters are organising a pilgrimage to the Northern Saints from Sunday, 27th October - Thursday, 31st October.  We will stay at Ushaw College/Seminary and visit Holy Island, Durham Cathedral and Newcastle

Booking forms are now available. Places are limited and so to secure your place, we do need completed booking form with a deposit of £50. Thank you.

 

Parish Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

Tuesday, 26th May 2020 - Tuesday, 2nd June 2020

Girlguiding - Sale Division

You could help us give girls in Sale opportunities for fun, friendship, challenge and adventure by volunteering with Girlguiding in Sale, an organisation that offers girls aged from 5 to 18 new and exciting opportunities and experiences. We have a range of flexible volunteeering opportunities that can be tailored to fit around your lifestyle. Catholic Women's League

 The CWL promotes and supports religious and intellectual interests and social work; ensures the presentation of Catholic interests on public bodies; for the formation and collective expression of Catholic public opinion including support of work at an international level through the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations. Meetings are held on the Third Monday of the month.

 

Ring and Ride

Ring and Ride provides a door-to-door accessible minibus service for people of all ages who find it difficult to use ordinry public transport. Some parishioners make use of this service to attend the 11.00 a.m. Mass on Sundays but, in order to secure a regular service, need a couple more to join with them. Holy Family and St. Joseph's

Parent and Toddler Group

This popular Group meets each Monday morning from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. during term time, in the Holy Family Parish Centre. The Group has been in existence for many years and is organised by a team of parishioners who give their time on a voluntary basis.  If you feel you would like to become involved in the work of the Group, then further details can be obtained from Bernard Donoghue on 0161 973 4981 or Jane Simister on 969 9193, or call in on a Monday and see for yourself.

The usual CRB formalities will be applicable.

 

North West Thirtysomethings

Are you in your 30's? Would you like to meet other Catholics your age? We are a group who share the same faith and interests. Recent events have included art galleries, meals, theatre, city tours.
