St Hugh & St. John Parish Meal

6.30 p.m. for 7.00 p.m.

Come and share a meal with people like yourself who want to make a difference, on Thursday, 21st February, 6.30 p.m. for 7.00 p.m. in the parish hall at St. Hugh's church, 314 Manchester Road, Timperley. Tickets are £10 and must be bought in advance. All profits go to the Madagascan Development Fund, providing water for families in remote Madagascar. Chamber Concert

St. David's Day Celebration

2.00 p.m. - 3.30 p.m., Friday, 1st March

St. Joseph's Parish Centre

St. Joseph's PTA  will be holding a celebration of St. David's Day in the Parish Centre on Friday, 1st March from 2 p.m. - 3 30 p.m.  Tea, coffee and cakes, including Welsh specialities, will be available and there will be entertainment from some of the school children.

All parishioners of St. Joseph's and Holy Family are very welcome.

Keep Fit Classes at St. Joseph's

Every Thursday in the Parish Centre

1. Metafit HiiT class - 30 mins high intensity interval training using a series of body - weight exercises, designed to keep your body burning calories long after your training session is complete. It's tough but it works! 9.15am - 9.45am. Cost £5.

2. Over 60's Keep Fit Aerobics, Strength, Core, Balance and Flexibility- for men and women of all ability levels. 10am - 11am. Cost £4.50 . Contact: Julia Millington 07718 336749.

 

Catholic Women's League

 The CWL promotes and supports religious and intellectual interests and social work; ensures the presentation of Catholic interests on public bodies; for the formation and collective expression of Catholic public opinion including support of work at an international level through the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations. Meetings are held on the Third Monday of the month.

 

Ring and Ride

Ring and Ride provides a door-to-door accessible minibus service for people of all ages who find it difficult to use ordinry public transport. Some parishioners make use of this service to attend the 11.00 a.m. Mass on Sundays but, in order to secure a regular service, need a couple more to join with them. If you need assistance, phone 0161 200 6011.

 

Union of Catholic Mothers

Meetings take place on Tueday afternoons 1.00 p.m. - 2.30 p.m. at Holy Family Parish Church. If anyone would like to join us, you would be made very welcome. Contact Joan Ryan, President on 0161 917 2166.

St Joseph's and Holy Family

Parent and Toddler Group

This popular Group meets each Monday morning from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. during term time, in the Holy Family Parish Centre. The Group has been in existence for many years and is organised by a team of parishioners who give their time on a voluntary basis.  If you feel you would like to become involved in the work of the Group, then further details can be obtained from Father Woolley on 973 1615 or Jane Simister on 969 9193, or call in on a Monday and see for yourself.

The usual CRB formalities will be applicable.

 

North West Thirtysomethings

Are you in your 30's? Would you like to meet other Catholics your age? We are a group who share the same faith and interests. Recent events have included art galleries, meals, theatre, city tours.
