Coffee Shop

Thursdays, 11.00 a.m.-11.45 a.m. After Over 60s Keep Fit Class

Coffee will be on sale in the Parish Centre from 11.00am–11.45 am. Whether you have been to the keep fit or just passing St Joseph’s, please call in if you can any Thursday for a coffee and chat with friends. All welcome.


 Toddler Group

Re-Opens Monday, 10th September 2018

Holy Family & St Joseph’s Toddler Group re-opens on Monday 10th September in the Holy Family Parish Centre. It runs from 10.00am–11.30am. Drinks and toast are served to the children followed by drinks and biscuits to adults. There are plenty of toys for the children and the session ends with a piano led sing-song.


Mondays Together

The next meeting will be on Monday, 10th September 2.00pm–4.00pm in St. Joseph’s Parish Centre when Dr Vivian Wilkinson has kindly offered to come with a colleague and do a ‘health MOT’! Don’t forget to come along and get checked out.


 Catholic Women's League

7.00 p.m., Monday, 17th September 2018

The next meeting of CWL is at 7pm on Monday 17th September at St. Joseph’s Parish Centre. The meeting is a review of the year so far and planning for 2019. Also, in preparation, please bring along any donations of gifts for the Tombola and Raffle in aid of the CWL - Macmillan Coffee Morning which is to take place at 10.30am on Thursday 27th September - Holy Family Parish Hall. The 15th October meeting is the Hot Pot Supper Evening.– Cost £8. Please bring payment to the September meeting.


CAFOD Harvest Fast Day Meeting

2.00 p.m. Monday, 17th September 2018

Robert Cruickshank, CAFOD’s Senior Emergency Manager, will give an update on CAFOD’s work in East Africa/Ethiopia on Mon.17th September 2.00 p.m. in Holy Family Church. All are welome to come and hear about the important work CAFOD is doing in this part of the world. Refreshments will be served. See the poster in the narthex for further information.


Theatre Club

English National Ballet - Manon

Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre

Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

23rd-30th September 2019

A reminder that if you are interested/intending to join the Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in September 2019, deposits of £400 per person are required by 23rd November. The total cost is £1470. Booking forms should be sent direct to Pilgrimage People. There are still some copies of the itinerary and booking form available in the sacristy.


Catholic Women's League

The CWL promotes and supports religious and intellectual interests and social work; ensures the presentation of Catholic interests on public bodies; for the formation and collective expression of Catholic public opinion including support of work at an international level through the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations. Meetings are held on the Third Monday of the month.


Ring and Ride

Ring and Ride provides a door-to-door accessible minibus service for people of all ages who find it difficult to use ordinry public transport. Some parishioners make use of this service to attend the 11.00 a.m. Mass on Sundays but, in order to secure a regular service, need a couple more to join with them. If you need assistance, phone 0161 200 6011.


Union of Catholic Mothers

Meetings take place on Tueday afternoons 1.00 p.m. - 2.30 p.m. at Holy Family Parish Church. If anyone would like to join us, you would be made very welcome. Contact Joan Ryan, President on 282 6378.

Parent and Toddler Group

This popular Group meets each Monday morning from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. during term time, in the Holy Family Parish Centre. The Group has been in existence for many years and is organised by a team of parishioners who give their time on a voluntary basis.  If you feel you would like to become involved in the work of the Group, then further details can be obtained from Father Woolley on 973 1615 or Jane Simister on 969 9193, or call in on a Monday and see for yourself.

The usual CRB formalities will be applicable.


North West Thirtysomethings

Are you in your 30's? Would you like to meet other Catholics your age? We are a group who share the same faith and interests. Recent events have included art galleries, meals, theatre, city tours.
