February walk - An easy 1 boot, circular 4.5 mile walk alongside the Bridgewater Canal and the River Mersey. Meet at St. Joseph's car park 12.45 p.m. for 1.00 p.m. departure (note early start time). New walkers welcome. BEHOLD 2020.


Catholic Women's League - CWL

Monday, 17th February 2020

The next meeting is at 7.00 p.m., Monday, 17th February at St. Joseph's Parish Centre. The Speaker is Harish Narotham who will talk about the Candlelight Fund - CAFOD. The meeting will be open to visitors from 7.30 p.m. for people to share a cup of tea and listen to the wonderful story which Harish has to tell everyone. Please feel free to come and join us.

at St. Hugh's Timperley on the third Monday of every month, 7.30 to 9.00 p.m., starting on 17th February. The power of the Holy Spirit can change minds and hearts: we want His fire to transform all our lives! Come and join us for an evening of praise, worship and adoration with prayer for healing, all in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Refreshments after. All welcome! Altar Servers Day

10.30 a.m.-3.00 p.m., Saturday, 7th March

The Shrewsbury Youth Mission Teams are organising a day of activities, reflection and fellowship for altar services from across the Diocese. This will be on Saturday, 7th March from 10.30 a.m. - 3.00 p.m. at St. John Henry Newman Church, Warrington. Father Woolley would like to open this opportunity to all the altar servers at Holy Family and St. Joseph's.  If you would like to go on the day, please sign the form in the sacristy. Don't worry. All you need for the day is a packed lunch, your alb and lots of energy.


St. Patrick's Day

After 11.00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, 15th March, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Irish coffees and other refreshments will be available in the Parish Centre. Entertainment will be provided by the St. Joseph's children's music group.

Girlguiding - Sale Division

You could help us give girls in Sale opportunities for fun, friendship, challenge and adventure by volunteering with Girlguiding in Sale, an organisation that offers girls aged from 5 to 18 new and exciting opportunities and experiences. We have a range of flexible volunteeering opportunities that can be tailored to fit around your lifestyle. Catholic Women's League

 The CWL promotes and supports religious and intellectual interests and social work; ensures the presentation of Catholic interests on public bodies; for the formation and collective expression of Catholic public opinion including support of work at an international level through the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations. Meetings are held on the Third Monday of the month.


Ring and Ride

Ring and Ride provides a door-to-door accessible minibus service for people of all ages who find it difficult to use ordinry public transport. Some parishioners make use of this service to attend the 11.00 a.m. Mass on Sundays but, in order to secure a regular service, need a couple more to join with them. Holy Family and St. Joseph's

Parent and Toddler Group

This popular Group meets each Monday morning from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. during term time, in the Holy Family Parish Centre. The Group has been in existence for many years and is organised by a team of parishioners who give their time on a voluntary basis.  If you feel you would like to become involved in the work of the Group, then further details can be obtained from Bernard Donoghue on 0161 973 4981 or Jane Simister on 969 9193, or call in on a Monday and see for yourself.

The usual CRB formalities will be applicable.


North West Thirtysomethings
